 | Entry from the quiet street is through a medieval door and 8m hallway that serves as an art gallery.
A set of French metal gates leads into the 70m² séjour, which
has continuous windows looking out on the garden. There are three glass
doors leading to the garden and pool.
The stonework in the famous white
Quercy-Blanc limestone has been fully restored, lending this enormous
yet welcoming room a natural, spacious aspect. It is overlooked by a minstrel's
gallery that leads to the Master Bedroom. In one corner of the séjour
is a fitted summer kitchen.
The large main kitchen opens off the other side of the
séjour
(see the plan below). It's well equipped, and has a built-in
fridge, a hob and a professional exhaust fan. This kitchen includes a bar,
a dining area and a comfortable sitting area with bookshelves. It also
leads to the "high-house",
the original five storey dwelling, and underneath is the 20m² wine
cellar. |
